Richard Farmer

Richard brings a wealth of experience to Absolute with his background in predominantly in the building and joinery trades.  He has however spent several years developing a retail business with his lovely wife Michelle and developing his holiday house in Portugal .
Richard’s experience is invaluable on site and he is a real team player. He has a fantastic sense of humour, a dedication to do the best on every project and is a real pleasure to have on site and work with.

In his spare time Richard has just started to play golf and plays the odd game of 5 a side football.

Newly married in Portugal last year to Michelle, Richard also shares his life with his dog (no not a Chocolate lab as you would expect) ‘Suki’ a Pekingese!

Phil Brown

Director

‘Absolute’ has been Phil’s vision since returning from his petite sojourn to SW France and in the last 4 years has built the dream team that delivers every aspect of the original vision.

Fully focused on the deliverance of every project, but always with a keen eye on new ways to add benefit to our offering.

A young (ish) 50 with a solid (30 years ..ouch!) background in commercial office interiors, Phil is always pushing the barriers of the clients and his colleagues perceptions of what is achievable.

Away from the office, he spends his holidays...and more...at his house in France. Always up for any sporting challenge he enjoys skiing, tennis and golf.

Phil is the father of a thriving young family with Oliver 7, the delectable Millie 4 and gorgeous wife Helen.

Favourite saying ‘never put off till tomorrow, what you can do today’

Marianne Bloodworth

Office Manager

Embracing our passion for innovation, professionalism and service excellence, Marianne is an experienced business manager, bringing strong organisational and delivery skills to our busy office. With a degree in Business Management, she adds another dimension to our team, coordinating our marketing and sales development strategy.

“To know I have done the best job possible and added value to a project is immensely satisfying and it’s even more rewarding when we have fun along the way!”

Mother of two wonderful children, Elliot & Esme, she is used to juggling lots of different priorities and is an expert in removing mud stains from rugby kit whilst doing a French plait in under a minute! All supported by wonderful husband Mark.

Outside of family she enjoys book group (or is that because of the chatter and wine), cooking and music (shuffle on the ipod is the best invention of the 21st Century!)

Gavin Allison

Construction Team

Gavin’s background is predominantly in the building trade, where his experience in constructing individually designed timber framed houses means that he can turn his hand to any trade. His experience is invaluable on site and he is able to work independently as well as being a real ‘team’ player.

In his spare time Gavin coaches under 16’s Rugby league and has done so for over 8 years (or since his knees have given out and he tore his hamstring!) He occasionally turns out for a charity match - otherwise known as the veteran league!!

Gavin married the lovely Victoria 3 years ago.

Helen Brown

Helen has been blissfully married to Phil for 13 years and they have two children Oliver aged 8 and Millie 4 and ¾!  Helen wears many hats but she is both a full time mum and part-time in the office. Her specialism is juggling tantrums, skateboards, and lunchboxes and loves going to work for a rest - and the coffee...it's the best in Harrogate (even better than Betty's)!

Helen moved to Harrogate 15 years ago to open a homes and gardens inspired retail shop - strangely on the ground floor of Absolute offices.  Other highlights include working as a nanny in Italy, an Account Manager in telecoms and even working for a Golf /Ski manufacturer  - to the delight of Phil - cheap golf clubs AND ski’s.  Helen also enjoyed living in France for 2 years - The Browns sabbatical!

During her very rare 'spare time' she enjoys Pilates, cooking for family and friends and holidays in France.
