A workplace for the future - Catapult Sports
The process
Partnering with forward thinking businesses with similar values to our own is something we constantly strive for at Absolute. So, when we had the opportunity to work with Catapult Sports, it really piqued our interest.
You have probably heard of Catapult Sports, and likely seen their incredible tech worn by sporting superstars on TV.
The Discovery - Workplace Consultancy
As most of our projects do, the partnership started with an open, honest conversation where we discussed Catapult’s wants and needs. Design Director, Lucy Mallard led the consultancy process working closely with Kieran Dannatt, VP of Sales and Michael Clarkson, Senior Partnerships Manager.
Workplace consultation allows us to understand the DNA of our clients. The needs, wants, nice to have’s, and the motivation behind the project. Catapult bought into the process early on which allowed Lucy to get to work producing informed design work. In particular, Michael’s passion for interior design and enthusiasm for the project made the design process extremely enjoyable and with cards on the table from the start, allowed us to create something truly unique, on budget.
The Adventure – Design
Catapult Sports are very well branded, which certainly helped. Pairing this with a creative interior designer who understands our client, makes for something truly special. Dynamic, creative, passionate, tech and sport, are all words which we associated with our client which we fed into our design.
Angled glazing to meeting suites, large open plan breakout spaces, phone booths, a sleek ergonomic furniture selection, a bold boardroom, intimate quiet spaces, zoom rooms, an amphitheater – this one has it all, but most importantly, delivers.
The Journey - Delivery
The project ran for 7 weeks on-site from start to completion. Tim Kitchen, Senior Project Manager at Absolute ran the fit-out project alongside our Furniture Specialist, Marianne Bloodworth.
‘Delivering quality projects is something we as a business and I personally take great pride in. The opportunity to deliver such a unique scheme in the heart of Leeds was slightly daunting, but having fantastic plans to work from and a trusted site team, the project came together very well, and it was a pleasure working with the team from Catapult’.

The Cherry on top – Furniture
Being a sports tech business, we knew pretty quickly that the furniture selection and specification were very important. Marianne and Lucy worked closely to create a scheme that meets the client’s requirements within budget. Iconic Herman Miller ‘Sayl’ task chairs were a perfect place to start and Catapult brought their existing sit/stand desks with them, because, why not! We explored our options with other fantastic partners of ours including sixteen3, Elite, Mobili, and Frovi to name a few, and created a beautiful scheme with fantastic green credentials.
A word from Kieran, VP of Sales, Catapult Sports & Will Snaith, Sales Director, Absolute Commercial Interiors
