Originally formed from a partnership between the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and the Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) to maximise the performance of Australian athletes ahead of the Sydney Olympics, Catapult was officially founded in Melbourne in 2006.

Starting with a blank CAT A space, in 34 Boar Lane, we co-designed with Catapult to bring their vision to life in their new space in the centre of Leeds. With communication and social interaction at the heart of the design, we designed a social space centred around collaboration with the addition of an amphitheatre for visiting knowledge experts and whole company celebrations. A central meeting suite separates the open-plan workspace from the social space, enabling quieter work settings. This involved our entire team from design, furniture and fit-out.

Creating an environment that is efficient and enjoyable at any time, we made sure that all parts of the office can be utilized for a variety of activities. Believe it or not, we also installed a ping-pong table which has proven to be extremely popular.
