York Hub began it’s life in 2008 in York City Centre and has been a thriving part of the local business community ever since. At 1700 square feet, the Coworking space has a been optimised to create a spacious feel, that certainly packs a punch for remote workers, freelancers and small business owners looking for a great working environment in York.

We carried out a complete strip-out, opening up three separate spaces and creating a single open plan workspace. Removing the suspended ceiling, partition walls, kitchen, flooring – everything – meant we had a blank canvas to work our magic. A central lightwell floods the lower ground space with natural light, so we focused our design around this and encircled it with formal working zones: a quiet zone, high ‘touchdown’ spaces, a lounge and sleek new kitchen area.

Together, with this clever workspace design, York Hub is able to comfortably seat 24. As agile workplaces are becoming not just trendy, but essential, York Hub is setting the standard for Coworking in the area and we’re proud to have being involved.
